1. We had a visit from the Vegas Rasmussens last week. It was so much fun to have them here all week. We hope they move to San Diego so we can see them more often. We went to Prehistoric Pets, the beach, the park, Anna took our family pics, and I got Anna hooked on the "Fishers of Men" series. Anna shared a super easy recipe with me that I made again last night and I love it. I'm gonna have to post if for you all. Thanks for hanging out with us last week guys!!

2. Milk has become my favorite drink these days. I just can't get enough, weird huh?

3. We are heading up to Utah for my cousin's wedding and I have been craving Cafe Rio for a week!! I'm plotting our traveling course to hit as many Cafe Rios along the way as possible. :) Mmmmmm......They REALLY need to bring them down to So Cal. Other highlights I'm looking forward to: seeing Brittney, seeing my cousin get married (obviously), visiting the good ol' alma mater, and seeing Josh and Mari and Hewards.

4. I scheduled my ultrasound for the end of May. I am so excited to see who is right on this poll of ours. Will the boys take it? Or will the shocker be a girl?

5. My old roommate Shar and her family are in town for Disneyland this week. I got to see them yesterday when they stopped by. It was such a good time to see her and Paul again. Shar doesn't look like she's aged or changed at all since our days at BYU, lucky girl!! She has three handsome children. They live in Alaska right now and I think they are so brave. Here's a picture of Shar and I with our kiddos. What happened to my eyes? I have no idea but I look a little crazy.... oh well.

My sister in law and I went out for a little bit and I came home and ended up finding this little surprise in the corner of our playroom. You can see the empty box and the evidence of all the munched on strawberries that my sister in law had bought to make a yummy dessert with. I have one word for you.....Luke. Its no wonder Steve and Allen were able to play their video games. Hahaha.....

Ethan's fourth (did I really just say that? has it REALLY been four years already? I can't believe it.) birthday is quickly approaching. We are trying out a tradition that my sister in law does - every other year is family only birthday celebrations. Since Ethan's birthday is on Tuesday, his first day back to school after "spring break," I'll take some cupcakes and party decorations in for his teacher to have a little party during their snack time. Then we'll have a special dinner and birthday party with family that night. We've planned to take Ethan to the Aquarium of the Pacific for his birthday (that's the trade off of no friends birthday party) so that will happen sometime during birthday week. I think he and Luke will LOVE the Aquarium. I'm so excited to take them there. He chose a racetrack cake this year. I think the picture looks awesome but I'm unsure of my ability to reproduce it. We'll see how it goes. I have a good friend in Texas that just made a spectacular skateboard cake for her little guy and she was afraid of how it would turn out. Hers was amazing so I'm hoping for similar results. I mean how hard can it be, right? Cake, frost, throw some M&M's on the side, crumble some cookies for the track and voila! Ehhhhhh....

This is how I feel right now. I'm at that stage in my pregnancy that I wonder if I'm pregnant or just gaining weight via the rationalization that I'm pregnant. I went for a walk on Saturday morning then got home and puked. Needless to say, I'm scared to exercise but I feel like everything is getting too big, too soon. Oh boy.

Ethan Plays Soccer

On Wednesday Ethan had his first (and last, due to timing) soccer game. The new preschool he is in has a sports program included in it. Ethan is on the Dolphin team. Now that soccer is over they will be starting T-ball in a few weeks and then its track and field. Ethan was a little hestitant to play but he went in twice and played his little heart out. I think he'll get more comfortable with each game and the more exposure he has to his team since not all of them are in his class. Steve and I had a lot of fun watching him. My Mom, my sister Evelyn and her girls, and my aunt Magda all came to watch Ethan also. Sorry the video is a little jumpy. I had a two year old using my legs as balancing beams.

Gone, buggies, gone!

We had our house fumigated a few weeks ago. It was great fun....or something. One word to the wise, don't mess with the gas company.....ugh. My parents were nice enough to let us invade their space for a few days. We had to bag all foods that were not canned or in completely air tight seals. The gas that was used was safe enough to not have to wash every item in the house upon return. Its so nice to be back. Here is what our house looked like for three days.

Ear Infections, Breathing Treatments, Eye drops....oh my!

Once again, the boys are sick. I feel like they have been on antibiotics or some kind of drug all winter. I declare that I AM DONE. I'm done with the sickies. Go away, don't come back another day. Ethan has dual ear infections, an eye infections and needs breathing treatments every three to four hours because the doctor heard him weezing when I took them in. Luke was only diagnosed with a dual ear infections (it was pretty obvious from all the goop coming out of his ear) but he wouldn't take deep breaths for the doctor. He has since developed the goopy eyes so I've started giving him the eye drops too. And I have Luke sit next to his brother now when he's getting his breathing treatments in hopes that Luke will inhale the sodium chloride, hydrochloride salt, sulfuric acid goodness (try saying THAT three times fast). I think they really are over acheivers. I mean, why settle for a common cold when you can get a whole bundle of infections instead? Nah, they don't settle for ease....not Rasmussen boys. All sarcasm aside, they seem to be getting better. Ethan loves putting his mask on and they don't even mind the antibiotics. Its those pesky eye drops that do us in. If you hear two toddler boys screaming, its eye drops time. (sigh)
